I have a weird problem. Normally with online and even irl discussion, I tend to have an open mind. But there's one exception... It's when people like something with a lot of flaws and refuses to mention that they acknowledge them. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum is the perfect example, as I'm a massive Pokemon fan, and I've been hearing that game's praises for a long time. When I hear people talk about DPPl, I think of all the issues it has that have made me really dislike it, and they don't say any of the negatives, only the positives, or vice versa. It's that only good or bad mentality, although I haven't heard as many people talk about the negatives. My issue is that it feels like people almost always talk about the positives, and it feels like because of that they don't... Fully appreciate what those games are? I like Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded for example, and I'd immediately start with "the story is mediocre at best but the combat". I get that one is more so negative leaning, but my point is that when it's something commonly liked, I don't like only seeing the praise for it, especially when I see it as really flawed. I kinda wanna know if there's anything I should really do, because there's not really anything I can think of that doesn't come off kinda rough especially since they usually are in that right or wrong angle

Roxas is the best. He’s just generally more interesting than Sora and I wish KH2 could’ve been about Roxas searching for a missing Sora with the help of Donald and Goofy instead with the Roxas is Sora’s nobody plot twist being saved for much later in said revamped plot.

Given that he abandoned us and left us to fight in the keyblade war I’m going to say no.

I've only played KH2FM to completion, and that was using the wonderfully crafted Roxas mod. Even when I first tried the game on emulator, I immediately felt more connected to the personality of Roxas compared to Sora. He seemed a lot more realistic on his life outlook. I understand that Sora yearned to leave Destiny Island and explore, but it felt like he was too happy go lucky. When it came time to merge with Sora and play the rest of the game as such, I was heartbroken. Learning that Axel wanted to just get Roxas back broke me. The mod made me wish that KH2 took place from the perspective of Roxas and after defeating Xemnas, he wakes up Sora. But I do resonate with Roxas a lot. I don't want to lose my friends, and having no contact with them for a long time just hurts, or if they ditch you for one reason or another without a real reason why (speaking from personal experience). The latter made me feel like nothing mattered anymore, that perhaps I did something wrong from just attempting to reconnect when we were tight back in school. But I have a group that cares about me now, and though I consistently tell myself that it's GOTTA be a sham, I know that it's not. I also really like his VA and design, including the Twilight Town outfit.

I felt like all of them was valid except for DDD. It was a half baked reached opinion. I don’t know, I was just expecting more to resonate with me to this game since it is my least favorite. Maybe something like “you hate being on a time limit or not to have true independent freedom to play game how you want even at the end game” or “you hate how this really another Riku game that proceed to glaze him up” or maybe something about how magic in the game feel eh beside balloon. The Dreameaters was valid asf tho

I don’t hate fun, I hate having it shoved down my throat as the “best game” when it has a TON of flaws.

My Headcanon To Advent Children: Cloud shifts back to his preCD3 self was because of Geostigma. That's also the reason why the shift forward was much easier. I myself fall easily back in depressions when something bad happens.

Chain of Memories IS my least favorite, but if we're just going by main games (1-3) then 2 is my least favorite. Which is funny because I like 3 and that was the same reason for not liking it. What I don't like is slow leveling systems with the drive forms and that's what you get with KH2. PLUS when it comes to trying to level up, the game produces less enemies as you start to attain some of the more powerful forms, so at that point it's not fun anymore....therefore I don't hate fun :)

Fun fact about Blitz in KH1, if you use Leons keyblade (i think lionheart) it gives off a gunshot sound if it connects.

I love the links I think they are the best mechanics of the game. My favorite is Wreck it Ralph, Stitch and Simba. I love how all links have creative ways to battle enemies that’s is very unique and not something you see everyday 🔥

An interesting discussion to have; however, I think this is more showing the limitations of materialistic approaches to psychology, particularly when analyzing an archetypal story. Riku, to me, is more about revelation and redemption (philosohical/religious concepts) than the modern popularization of “therapy speak” in everyone’s daily lexicon (“trauma” and “dopamine” etc.)

Winner! I have been crying for the past ten minutes after watching this video. It perfectly encapsulates a deep and remarkable character. One that was integral to unlocking my own secrets, helping me to realize who I was. My struggles with identity and grief really resonated with Roxas introduced. Thank you for such a remarkable video.

As a fellow mental health professional, I am really glad that there are Contant creators with the skills and knowledge to back up their series and understanding of this interesting character and story. Kingdom hearts was an extraordinarily pivotal story for me growing up, and I don’t know if my career would be the same if it weren’t for, the game coming out the right time in my life.
